January 2008 Embroidery Club

It’s not too early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day. Our delightful heart designs are perfect for making your own cards as well as garments. Instructions are included for embroidering on card stock. The hearts can also be embellished with buttons, crystals, ribbons and more.

Trapunto is a timeless form of raised quilting and is easily done with your embroidery machine. Four methods of machine embroidery trapunto are illustrated along with information on thread and batting selection. There are eleven designs especially created for the embroidery machine. Projects include charming pillows with button-on seasonal patches, Oriental inspired wall hangings, a classic eight gore skirt with scalloped trapunto hem and a jacket with trapunto accents.

There are 36 designs, 14 fit in the 4”x4” (100mmx100mm) hoop, 10 fit in the 4-1/4”x4-1/2” (115mmx120mm) and 12 fit in the 5”x7” (130mmx180mm) hoop.
